And Then It Was September...Almost
So, it's been 3 months since the last post, so this will be short & sweet to get the ball rolling again! Just a few pic's of the window that I'm going to pull down (hopefully Tuesday) to make way for the new one:

and a close-up of the birthday theme (in honor of our 9th birthday in July! and Damond's birthday in August! and any other birthdays!):

MMmmmm...cake!

More Sin....
Okay, now for more sin-o-pride! Here's a little elephant guy made for our nephew, Jay. Some of the fabrics will be on the quilt I'll hopefully finish before he starts driving.

And soon there'll be another set of pics loaded onto this posting....and then that's it for the sin for a while!
Craft on, my friends!
Nora.

Sin Of Pride (part 1)

So, this is the story about how I have a few things to share, a.k.a., "sin of pride". These pictures are of a quilt I made last year for a friend's new sweet baby, Nico. It's one of the first "real" quilts I've made; It's the first time I used batting & followed a pattern! I'm not keen on following directions & have issues with finishing projects, so this was an excellent exercise in patience & determination! (as are the 2 others I've finished/started)
The layers involved:

Detail of the fabrics used for the quilt top. It's hard to tell from this pic, but the brown is supposed to replicate coffee swirling, but to me, it looks like woodgrain:

More to come......N.
